·      Fundraising experience: Through Scouting, I was able to raise 1000’s of dollars for a project to update sound equipment in my church’s youth group.
o   Valuable: Yes, I will need to know how to raise money to be funded.
o   Rare: No, anyone can raise money for a cause.
o   Inimitable: Yes, while it might not look like the same inputs, the output of money is the same.
o   Non-substitutable: I can take loans instead of trying to raise money, but it does not hurt to try and raise money first.
·      Social Capital: My job allows me to connect with prototypical customers.
o   Valuable: Very, these customers can help give me feedback to improve the software to fit their needs better.
o   Rare: Somewhat. I have a good network of people to fall onto for support and honest feedback.
o   Inimitable: No, my network is unique and always improving.
o   Non-substitutable: No, because they are so valuable.
·      Social Capital: UF Greek Life. I am brother of Kappa Phi Epsilon, a Christian Brotherhood. It is a major network of Christian men and can help me not get too far off from the purpose of my product: reducing distractions to bring others closer to meaningful worship.
o   Valuable: Absolutely. This is most likely the most important part, because if the product fails at this, even though it might succeed, it will fail its intention.
o   Rare: Yes, the Brotherhood is very unique.
o   Inimitable: No, you cannot a group of Christian men like this anywhere else on UF’s campus.
o   Non-substitutable: There is no substitute for this.
·      Organizational Culture: Positive culture that is upheld with Christian values.
o   Valuable: Yes, it will make the workplace a good place to work at.
o   Rare: No, there are a lot of organizations that have Christian backgrounds and uphold its values.
o   Inimitable: Yes, it is easy to put these standards into any company.
o   Non-substitutable: A business can most definitely prosper without it having Christian values.
·      Experiences: Working in the industry, I have a good amount of information on what works well with aides in worship.
o   Valuable: Yes, first-hand experience is powerful.
o   Rare: No, there are plenty of people who work in this field.
o   Inimitable: Yes, someone can try and get and same type of experience.
o   Non-substitutable: No, you cannot substitute first-hand experience.
·      Human Capital: living here in Gainesville, there are plenty of engineers that can help develop great software for the glasses.
o   Valuable: Yes, I will need engineers for the app to work, because I do not have any experience in this field.
o   Rare: No, there are software engineers at any major university across America.
o   Inimitable: No, software engineers are important to this company.
o   Non-substitutable: There are services that I purchase to develop the app for me, but that would not be as profitable.
·      Capabilities: I have a heart for worship and want to make it as easy as possible for others.
o   Valuable: Yes, I believe that passion is important for the company to succeed.
o   Rare: Sort of, but there are many others that have a heart for worship.
o   Inimitable: Not really, passion is an individualistic thing.
o   Non-substitutable: I do not believe that passion can be substituted.
·      Once the company is created, maintaining it will be easy since most of it is completed online. And fixing the problem will be done on the internet.
o   Valuable: Yes, it makes it easy to work, and everything can stay online and up-to-date anywhere in the world.
o   Rare: No, many companies have most of their business in the cloud.
o   Inimitable: Yes, other companies can do this. Moreover, I would be coping other companies.
o   Non-substitutable: With it being a software company, it is hard to bring that to the physical world.
·      Publicity: Autonomy in worship tech world is a buzzword. Making jobs easier is important since most workers are actually volunteers with minimal experience.
o   Valuable: Yes, making jobs easier is important.
o   Rare: Sort of, not a lot of houses of worship have gotten into this yet.
o   Inimitable: Someone else can figure this information out.
o   Non-substitutable: Yes, human capital can take over this job
·      Personal Relationships with churches in Gainesville
o   Valuable: Yes, this expands my network.
o   Rare: Sort of, but there are many others that have a heart for worship.
o   Inimitable: Not really, passion is an individualistic thing.
o   Non-substitutable: I could have friendships with churches wherever I am living.
·      I believe that my most important resource is the network that I have with my job and with the fraternity. The community helps me find others that I can connect with and make sure that I stay true to the mission of the software in the first place.
