1. The behavior that I have been creating and still working on is my scheduling. I am an online student taking this class and need to schedule out time to watch my lectures and do my assignments and cupcakes. I have not been the best at it this semester. I am learning that it is hard to juggle a lot of responsibilities. I am halfway down with this course and want to finish strong. If I were you, I would have the Canvas calendar sync with your iCal or Google Calendar. That way you can make sure that you are staying up on assignments.
2. This does not directly apply to this class, but in some of my other responsibilities, I have really wanted to give up. What is pulling me through is knowing that at the end of this I will have a Business Degree from one of the best schools in the country. This temporary pain will pay off in the long run. I am building a tenacious attitude, but it is hard.
3. Three tips
a. Use your calendar do almost everything you do. Know when to cancel events because you do not have enough time for school.
b. As Dr. Covey states in the 7 habits “begin with the end in mind.”
c. Work on something you are passionate about. Your product should bring you joy knowing that it’s a problem you care about and you want to fix it.

Hey Grant! I think you did an awesome job with this assignment and I really like the graphic you chose of a calendar. It is clear you looked at your work thus far this semester and analyzed it. It is great that you know how to manage your time and that is extremely important in any endeavor you take on in life. The tips you gave for future students are awesome and I think you put a lot of though into them. I especially like number two's about keeping the end in mind. Great job!
ReplyDeleteHey Grant! Good call on syncing the canvas calendar to your google calendar. I had not thought of that until now! We could probably even set it up to have google home let us know whenever an assignment is reaching the due date. I also wrote that you must write on something that you are passionate about. I feel like otherwise, the assignments will be much to difficult to do.
