My dad is an entrepreneur. He started his own company selling orchids. He hs the green thumb for it. We most likely sell the best vanda orchids in the southeast. My dad cares about his plants, and he loves doing it. I love the flowers, but I feel like it is too much work. His hard work has proved him great success. He is a happy person and loves what he does. It does not make a lot of money, but it is enough to make a reasonable profit. The product is unique enough that it is desired by lots, especially those who like orchids. My dad found a particular need for a product not a lot of people have, and grows it very well.
I signed up for this class because I want to be able to think for myself and find solutions to problems I face in my life. I am an online student, so this is also one of the required courses to graduate. So far I am enjoying it, I feel that it will apply to be in the real world. I want to work for myself in the future, and this will help me have a solid foundation.
Hey Grant! I am super impressed by your dad's business. I have always loved orchards and think they make for a beautiful flower and arrangement. It is clear he clearly found a niche business in doing something he loves to do. I love the colors in the picture you posted and I think it is a beautiful flower arrangement. I also took this class and agree with you that I want to be able to solve problems and create solutions for myself. Awesome job!

I think it's awesome that despite any "noise" that was most likely around your dad when he was contemplating on starting his floral business, he stuck to what he loved and did it anyways. Obviously, it's paid enormous dividends in the long run, especially with you wanting to follow in your dad's entrepreneurial footsteps. I truly hope that whatever it is you want to do, just go for it. You only live once. I'm also trying to figure out how to think for myself more and solve my own problems so I hope this class helps us both meet our goals!
